Ed and Mel’s Wedding

Hi All,

I finally managed to get the wedding photo’s over to Ed and Mel. Feels like forever they had to wait for me to edit them in between my other commitments, sorry about that! That’s one thing I struggle for – balancing family life, work and my passion for photography.

The wedding day itself was great. The weather couldn’t of been more perfect for them – bright sunny day that didn’t let up until the sun went down into a nice sunset. Me turning up in a shirt and tie combo whilst running around all day taking pictures was the difficult part where the weather was concerned – it was dripping off me!

Ed & Mel had already arranged a photographer for the day but kindly allowed me to join in for a little experience. The photographer – Bill Smith (http://www.billsmithphotographic.co.uk) – was great fun to work with and I appreciate the tips he threw my way :) Being a second photographer at the wedding I decided that I would let Bill get the main shots of the couple and groups and I would aim to get a few detail ones and to try to document the day a little more candidly. I hope I done Ed and Mel justice and I thank them for the opportunity – especially the free roam I had for the lighting set up I wanted to try in the evening.

I know from this experience I will be comfortable when being the main photographer at other weddings. There is so much to think about and organise but with good preparation, a clear idea of what I want to capture and a loud voice I think I could do the wedding couple’s justice :)

Why not drop me a comment under this post if you like the slides ;)

Laters,

MJ
